As it seems like many of us, I grew up in a small suburb west of Boston. Considered an agricultural community I grew up spending most my days at one of the farms in town. So naturally coming to Boston was a pretty intense experience, leaving the comfort of the woods for the hordes of people, traffic and buildings overhead. The architecture of the city has totally affected my life. Instead of memorizing street names and direction, it all comes down to landmarks guiding the way around, much like landmarks around my town did for me there. Of course the prudential center is my north star, but things like the commons, MIT, State Street, the green way and the Bunker Hill monument all guide me in my orientation around the city.
