I have always been fascinated with ancient ruins so I was very intrigued when we learned about Central America and the Teotihuacan. I really enjoyed the discussion of the ancient city of Puh. I thought it was very interesting and smart the way they organized the whole city around four entrances on each cardinal axis. It is amazing how even that far back in our history people were able to organize cities so well. They may have not been as weatherproof as they are now but technology has taken and learned a lot from its past. In ancient times it is interesting though how cities and buildings weren’t just built for housing people they had a meaning. For the Teotihuacan it was meant as a place where men went to become gods and had connections noticeable all over. Whether it be the ritual ceremony court, the avenue of the dead, and or the pyramid of the sun and moon were all built on the connection between the world above and below.
