As I walked through the Museum of Fine Arts, I saw many different forms of art from many different cultures. This made me think of all the civilizations we have studied throughout the history of architecture, and how each civilization had their own ideas and styles for building. Growing up in American and "Western" civilization, I have been more exposed to classical styles and ways of thought. For this reason, it was an ancient Eastern piece of sculpture that caught my eye in the museum. I found the different ways of expression and hints at spiritual beliefs within the piece of art very interesting, and I am reminded that despite the differences between cultures, there are always fundamental similarities that can tie them together.
