Mitchell Haughton: Blog 4
What does Northeastern and Rome have in common? Well, one of their buildings looks like a descendant of the Roman Colosseum! They both have many openings punctuating their curved surfaces. While Northeastern's building isn't the tallest building around, it does catch the eye of any passerby. Both buildings surround a large open space where human activity is/was displayed. Free-standing theaters were uncommon back in the day, but the Colosseum is an exception. It was built to hold a lot of people and to withstand frequent use. The building at Northeastern is able to withstand daily use from many people as well.
