Greg Gaffney's Blog

Quincy Market draws direct relations to Roman temples, and most specifically the Maison Carre. Roman characteristics have shown use in the construction of Quincy Market. Both are stone constructions with porticos. Other noticeable features include the even numbers of columns on their frontal entrances, a pediment to make the roof pitch, a set of stairs leading to the entrance to show importance.
