John Greene MFA Blog Response #3

I have always found myself interested in how the ancient Greeks followed many gods, and throughout lecture we have seen countless temples dedicated to all the great gods of ancient Greece. These temples all seem to follow similar geometric shapes, patterns, ratios, and scales that in my opinion are what they thought would please these gods. It is in the Museum of Fine Arts where I explored this connection further threw the ancient Greek pottery, where there were these same gods being represented and praised. In these arranged pieces there is still this tremendous feeling of symmetry, geometry, and scale that, in my opinion, are there to also please the gods. What my image tries to illustrate is the connection between the gods and everything that man made in praise to them.
