1 Brattle Square in Cambridge has some similarities to what the Ziggurat at Ur would have looked like. In the Ziggurat at Ur’s prime it would have had more platform terraces that would rise up out of the base of the ziggurat similar to the way 1 Brattle Square top floors seem to rise up out of the fortress-like walls. Another similarity is they are both surrounded by something in all directions. For the Ziggurat at Ur it was surround by cultivated fields, while 1 Brattle Square is surround by shops and restaurants. The ziggurat and Brattle Square building are both massive structures and it is possible that the 1 Brattle Square could have had been influenced from the Ziggurat at Ur.
