Lauren Chirco

The Greek Orthodox Church is a building in Boston, which is similar to the historical Parthenon and St., Peter’s Basilica. These buildings are very similar architecture structures that resemble each other in many ways. The Church and Parthenon both have grand massive columns, which hold a pediment. The columns are arranged in a similar line. The pediments, which are featured on both structures, are similar as well. The Church's pediment is not as decorated as the Parthenon's beautiful sculptured features but the basic shape of a historical pediment can be found between the two. St. Peter’s Basilica is represented in the Church’s roof design. On top of each building sits a dome, with a round and large cupola. The Greek Orthodox Church, the Parthenon and St. Peter’s Basilica are from different time periods but the similar details will always be comparable.
