Teresa Le: Blog 3 (MFA)

While walking around in the MFA and looking at each region that we have covered in class I have found a similarity throughout, bulls. Whether they were big sculptures or tiny ones, they were found in mostly each region. In class, not only have they come up in drawings and sculptures but also we have now heard of them on shrines and temples even in mythology. In France we learned about the Hall of Bulls, the shrine to bull, at Catal Huyuk, and in an infamous Greek mythology of Queen Pasiphae and her minotaur (half man, half bull) son, who destroys a city. Although not a very big part of each culture and region, bulls have always seized to apart of history.
