The Stata Center was designed by Frank Gehry. The building first started out as a metal and twin brick facade design. It was first designed to blend in with the surrounding buildings at MIT. As the years passed by the metal material shined brighter than both the brick facades. The bricks became more and more jealous of the metal. One day when people were passing the center the bricks overheard a little girl tell her mother how pretty and shiny the metal was. The bricks became so mad that they squeezed the metal as hard as they could. When they finally got tired of squeezing the metal they stopped and felt a little different from before. The metal's windows were now bulging out of its facade. The entrance of the building is now flared out because the bricks pushed too hard. From now on the Stata Center will forever be the two brick facades pushing in on the metal.
