Nicole Wetherbee Blog Response #6
Dr. Seuss's Oh The Places You'll Go inspires me architecturally. Dr. Seuss uses a broad imagination with his words of rhyming. This inspires my architecture to be very abstract. The Dr. Seuss land in Universal Studios is a great representation of the books, and the architecture. He uses very abstract forms to build a world of imagination for children. When stuck in the designing of a building, some things that help me are to rhyme words like Dr. Seuss did. This book broadened my imagination further and has inspired my designs abstractly.

While perhaps interesting, this book is written for an elementary school audience. Fiction is wonderful...try Murakami, Calvino or Borges for magical realism that may be a bit more challenging.
