Adam Parsons: Blog Entry 6
One of the books that inspires me the most is "Change By Design" written by IDEO's Creative Director, Tim Brown. IDEO as a Design Firm has always inspired me with their human centered design process and their ability to apply this multifaceted process to so many different kinds of project. The book itself has forever changed the way I personally look at the way to approach the designing of architecture. It discusses a new form of the creative process called design thinking, in which the ideation process is driven by the essential question of asking "why." I, myself, have always been inspired to challenge an individual's perception of a specific space and or experience. After reading this book, I have further engaged in streamlining my own approach to architecture to include rapid prototyping of many ideas that in the end are synthesized to create rich compelling solutions that begin to solve the questions of why.
