Charles Vesper: Response 5
The Cambridge Public Library comes to mind when I think about light and structure because of the expression it creates within the space. The first layer of the building is an glass enclosed space that is comprised of a shading devise that can be manually adjusted in different lighting situations. It also reveals this tectonic expression of how the system exists within the layers of glass. When I visited the Library the glass had a lot of glare and the shade further blocked views into the building but the side of the building reveals the suns penetration into the building.
