Matt Rowell- Blog 6

Add Image The book cradle to cradle, by William A. McDonough, has become the source of much inspiration for me in the studios, and has supplied a concept that I strive to live by in everyday life. After speaking with an architect about interest in sustainability, I was referenced the book. Since then it has brought me a new way of considering materials and processing while designing new buildings. Much of the information cannot be directly applied to designs because the projects don’t address certain financial and environmental issues. However, I think it is important to remember that your building still has an effect on the environment and consider different passive and active strategies that can help reduce your building’s footprint.
