While visiting NYC, I got to explore The High Line in Manhattan. This in itself contained many elements of lighting vs. structure and was beautiful at night. While atop The High Line I was able to photograph some of the surrounding architecture. Among the many breathtaking lit buildings was The IAC building by Frank Gehry. During the day how the structure seems to be hidden by the pure white façade of the building, it becomes exposed through the glowing interior light at night. The light structure that holds the glass members seem to disappear as the layers of floors seem to be highlighted as thick heavy planes.
