Walking by Henry David Thoreau inspires me to let go of what is thought to be ‘normal’ and focus on what is inspirational for me in a project. He talks about how we get lost in our daily rituals and loose ourselves, and how we need to take time to get away in whatever way you take it. With architecture I always get this a point about half way through and just seem to hit a wall, I get lost in the assignment and forget about my design. Keeping this book in mind reminds me to take a step back and reevaluate my process and work.
