Tyler Lombardi - Blog 6

Looking at what has inspired me and my experience with architecture, I first look at specific works or architects. Frank Lloyd Wright has always been one of the first designers that not only made me appreciate architecture, but truly understand everything that makes this art what it is. I bought "Frank Lloyd Wright: Master Builder" in efforts to learn more about one of my favorite architects and how he designs. This book taught me about Wright's work, but in addition, I learned how the architecture Wright created was influenced by everything around him. The book explains his design methods and even includes personal letters written to his clients explaining why and how he was making certain decisions. Reading about how much architecture impacted not only Wright's life, but those around him made me respect how much passion is involved in architecture and has inspired me to apply this attitude in my own practice.
