David Girardi- Blog 6

A book that I always reference back to when I am designing is Immaterial World: Transparency in Architecture by Marc Kristal. I came cross this book when I was visiting the Glass House by Philip Johnson and really wanted it. One of my major problems in designing is designing the facade. Book helps me out in coming up with ideas on how to make the facades function well with the interior space while making the building look like something you actually what to walk into and explore. This book offers examples of other architect's work on how they approached their projects to make them successful. While offering detail drawings to show how these facades are put together as well as diagrams of the buildings with so plans and sections. I think this book has helped me greatly in coming up ideas through inspiration of others.
