The book I have chosen is called "1000 Ideas by100 Architects" which was transcribed by both Sergi Costa Duran and Mariana R. Eguares. This book inspires me by far more than any other book I have read due to the seemingly endless ideas it has. Whenever I am stuck on a project, I'll simply flip through this book and pick a random page and continue to read. That page may or may not influence my decision, but if so I just repeat the same step before. An example of inspiration I received from this book would be this "idea" which was said by Kristian Ahlmark from Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects in Denmark. Ahlmark states, "An optimal physical environment is successful when it encourages cooperation between the occupants as well as the public itself." This was inspiring to me for a sophomore studio project in which our "clients" were a group orientated cooperating design team. It lead to me creating group brainstorm rooms and a large atrium in which many could gather. I continue to read through this book when I can to try and gain more ideas and knowledge.
