Alex Griffin, Blog Response 6

We were given this book to read in the summer going into Sophomore year and it could not have came at a better time for me. Rasmussen's ability to connect the dots between everyday objects and monumental architecture (and those in between) allowed me to understand architecture  that much more. In the short 237 pages, ideas of solid vs cavity, color planes, scale and proportion, rhythm, texture, daylight, and sound are covered. I guess what's important is that it stuck with me and I continually find myself returning to it for inspiration.
