While on a weekend trip back home, I visited the Attleboro Public Library, where there was a distinguished bath of sunlight coming from the roof. The skylight that makes the majority of the roof not only holds the components of the roof together but also allows the light through. Because of the structure of the rest of the building this part of the structural design is somewhat specified to let light in. Skylight is also covering an atrium in the center of the library allowing light through all three floors, where the exterior walls allows little light, due to the thick walled structure, in order to preserve the conditions of the books.
