When I go to class every morning, I noticed the light shining into the 555 Dorm Building Atrium. For the most part the shades to the two story windows are always opened and throughout the day the structure of the window illuminates beautiful shadows into the interior space. Light is filtered through all the way to the second floor of the 555 building. The rest of the building, the light is chosen where it goes depending on who has their shades opened or closed and which side of the building you are located on. I think that allowing light in the main entrance to the building welcomes students in from the cold outdoors.
