Teresa Le- Blog 6

Looking back at the books that I have read, I have come to a realization that the earliest book that really influenced me architecturally is The Three Little Pigs. Not only has it introduced to the materiality of buildings but also the structure that goes along with it. The structure is shown not only to protect but also withstand outside forces, such as wind (or the wolf). Even at a young age I had subconsciously learned the importance of choosing the right material when constructing a building to create a reliable structure, even from reading this simple children’s book. The three little pigs did not just help me sleep at night but also taught me how to create stability with in architecture.

  1. This is wonderful, really. But, you can do better now that you are in a university. What books are important, now?
