In my recent travels throughout Boston I discovered this building, located on 100 High street. This building stood out to me in the fact that it was a giant mass of an apartment building but the entrance was entirely glazed. This could be done since massive columns that were set back from the façade supported it. This allowed for a stone building to have a delicate entryway that drew in light during the day while glowing at night. If it weren’t for the change in structure then the entry to this building would be very similar to the rest of the masonry mass.
