For this blog I looked at the Northeastern dorm building that is right next to our campus. The building uses a lot of glass in the front facade piece and they were able to do this because they pulled most of the floor plate structure back from the glass and put them in soffets. At night the windows glow with the light. The floor plate structure that is pulled back from the glass begins to fade and the structural mullions on the glass are highlighted.
